Customer Acknowledgement

The Customer acknowledges agreement with these Terms and Conditions of Sale by the placement of an order to purchase product(s) from The Stationery Shop.

How to Order

1. Online Orders

Select a product:

By Category:

Browse the categories on the left side of the page to find and select the category that you require. Scroll down the page to view all the products in that category or refine your search by navigating through the sub categories. Click on a product for more information and further views. Type in the quantity you require and then click 'add to cart'.

By Keyword:

Insert a keyword in the 'Quick Search' section located on the right side of the page. Use this area to search for a brand name, type, quantity etc (e.g. Crayola Pencils 12 pack). If using more than one keyword, leave a space between the words and do not use punctuation symbols such as a comma, full stop or dash.

By Brand:

Choose a brand from the drop down list and all products available will be listed for you to make a selection.

View the Shopping Cart:

You can continue to add items to your shopping cart as you browse through the site. Each time an item is added to your shopping cart, you will be prompted by the message "Your product has been added to the shopping cart" and given the option to "Continue shopping" or "Proceed to checkout". In the 'Shopping Cart' page, products can be removed by selecting the check box and clicking the 'Update Cart' button or 'Enter' key on your keyboard or device. You can also alter the quantity by double clicking on the number entered and typing in the amount you require. If you enter your postcode you can view the estimated freight cost for your order. Please note that if you have a Promotion/Certificate Code, you must type this in the box provided and click 'Add' to update your cart.


Checkout as Guest

Select this option if this is the first time you are purchasing through our secured checkout. Complete your Shipping Address, Billing Address and Payment information. After you have completed your first order, you will receive an ‘Order Received’ email with links to set up your password to access your account. The easiest way to access your account is to click on the link to set a “password for your account to view your order status”. You can also set up your account by clicking on the “View your order history’ link to verify your email address and set your password. Once you have completed this process, you can view your order and update your contact details.


Select this option if you are a returning customer. Enter your email address and password to login. If you have not previously set up your password or if you have forgotten your password, click the ‘Reset Password’ link. This link will send you an email with a ‘Reset you password’ link. Click on this link and proceed to set your password. Once you have logged in, check that your details are correct before proceeding through the checkout.

Method of Payment:

Payments can be made using Direct Deposit and PayPal. Credit Card and Debit Card payments can be made by selecting the ‘Pay With Credit or Debit Card’ option in PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account to pay using your credit or debit card via PayPal.

The Stationery Shop does not accept money order payments and will only accept cheque payments from customers with Approved Customer Accounts.

There are several methods of payment:

1. PayPal
Select this option if you would like to pay using your PayPal account. Please note that the freight calculation will be displayed after you have logged into your PayPal account.

2. Credit Card or Debit Card Purchase
Select the PayPal option if you prefer to pay using your Visa or MasterCard. PayPal will give you the option to pay with your credit or debit card using their Guest Checkout. You do not need to have a PayPal account to use this service.

3. Business/Customer Account
This option is only available for schools, kindergartens, pre-schools, childcare centres and charities. Click here to download an 'Application for a 30 day Account' form or contact us for more information.

4. Direct Deposit
Select this option if you would like to pay using your internet banking service to electronically transfer money from your bank account. The Stationery Shop bank account details will be displayed during the checkout process and on the Order Confirmation sent to your email address. Goods will only be dispatched once payment has been received and cleared. Please note that if payment is not received within 7 days of the order date, your order will be cancelled automatically.

2. Fax and Mail Orders

Customers that do not wish to order and purchase over the internet can click here to download and print an order form.

3. Email Orders

Customers can email their order to The order should include the item number, product description and price of the product(s) to be purchased, the customers full name, address, delivery address, phone number and preferred payment method.

4. School Purchase Orders

We accept purchase orders from schools and government agencies. Our payment terms are strictly 30 days from invoice date. A tax invoice is enclosed with every order unless otherwise requested. Purchase orders can be placed via mail, fax or email. For more

Prices displayed throughout this website are in Australian dollars and include Goods and Services Tax (GST). Whilst every effort is made to list prices correctly, factors beyond our control may vary the cost and we reserve the right to change prices without notice. 

Product Availability

The products listed on this website are available to ship within 1-3 business days. Occasionally products may become discontinued during the course of the year. The Stationery Shop makes every effort to delete these items from the website as soon as they become unavailable. Stock quantities are adjusted automatically at the checkout to what is currently in stock. If you would like to order larger quantities, Contact us to place a special order.

Product Design Changes

All products on our website may be subject to design, colour variation or change (including packaging) at any time. We reserve the right to supply you with the current item.

Product Use

Products must be used by children of an appropriate age and under correct adult supervision.


Delivery Time

We deliver Australia wide using Australia Post and couriers. We process orders within 24 hours of receiving them and actual delivery should be within 2-7 working days for Australian orders paid via PayPal. Please allow an additional 1-2 work days for processing during the peak period from December to February. Orders paid via Direct Deposit will only be dispatched once payment has been received and cleared. Delivery times are an estimate and will depend on the availability of stock, the delivery address and the carrier. If we experience a delay in processing your order, we will endeavor to contact you either via email or phone.

Delivery Service

1. Australia Post Parcel Post Delivery service and Courier services. You will be provided with a parcel tracking number so that you can check on the delivery status and location of your parcel. Some parcels may require a signature upon delivery. If premises are unattended, parcel(s) may be transferred to the nearest Post Office for collection.

2. Authority to leave parcel(s) unattended. By selecting this option you agree to accept full responsibility for any loss or damage that may arise from leaving your parcel(s) unattended. Your parcel will be deemed received when it is left at your premises. By selecting this option, you release The Stationery Shop from all liabilities including claims, demands, costs and expenses made, suffered or incurred by you or others as a result of this Authority to Leave. Please note that Australia Post recently introduced a ''do not safe drop'' policy for all of its delivery services which means that it may not be possible to have parcels left unattended. We will email you a tracking number that you can use to track your parcel through the Australia Post website and their email/text notification service.

Special Instructions

You can use this space to include special delivery instructions or other comments in relation to your order.

Shipping Charges

Most items are sent via Australia Post and all oversized and/or overweight items (over 20kg) are sent in multiple parcels. To minimize delivery costs, we do not automatically insure or register our freight, however, if you would like to insure or use Registered Post, this can be arranged at an additional cost. Please contact us for a quote and we can add this to your order. 
Postage costs may be high for interstate and remote locations. If your order can be safely packed in a 1kg ($10.95), 3kg (12.95) or 5kg ($15.95) satchel we can offer you the cheaper rate and refund you the difference. Please note that the satchels have weight and size restrictions. Contact us if you would like your order sent via Australia Post Satchel.

Regular Parcels under 20kg
We aim to keep delivery costs to an absolute minimum, and use Australia Post for most of our delivery services. Each product has been individually weighed and entered into our Freight Calculator including packaging. The freight charged is then calculated using current Australia Post Charges which are based on actual weight, size and the delivery address. This is calculated after you have entered your postcode and during the checkout process.

Oversized Parcels over 20kg
The shipping cost for oversized/overweight items is calculated at the checkout and is based on the cost of shippling multiple parcels.

Freight - Registered Mail
You can request a quote for Australia Post Registered Mail. Your parcel will be required to be signed for when you receive it to protect it from theft. If you are not at your delivery address when a driver calls, the parcel will be taken to the nearest Post Office (or freight depot for larger items) for your collection. Australia Post (or the allocated courier) will leave a card for you with instructions on how to collect your delivery. The parcel will remain at the Post Office or freight depot for a limited time. If it is not collected during that time the item will be returned to The Stationery Shop. If The Stationery Shop is to arrange a second delivery, we have the right to charge you a second freight charge, which must be paid prior to us re-dispatching your goods.

Free Delivery
The Stationery Shop offers Free Delivery on all orders over $150 (excluding shipping costs) to Melbourne Metropolitan areas. Once you exceed the minimum amount, enter Promotion/Certificate Code MELB to have freight cost reduced to $0.00. Please note this offer only applies to deliveries within the Melbourne Metropolitan area and suburbs. 
Free delivery is also available to Preston (3072) and surrounding suburbs for orders over $50.

Pick Up at Kingsbury Drive Community Market
Orders can also be picked up on Sundays at the Kingsbury Community Market located at Latrobe University Bundoora. Our next scheduled market day is to be announced.

Goods Lost or Damaged in Transit

Although every care is taken when packaging your goods for transit, we accept no responsibility for goods damaged or lost in transit. Insurance can be arranged at an extra cost.

Returns Policy

Incorrect, Faulty or Damaged items

All products are checked and packed safely to avoid and minimize damage in transit. Should you receive a product that is damaged, faulty or not what you ordered, please contact The Stationery Shop within 5 business days of delivery so that we can assess your claim and discuss refund or exchange options. Once your refund/exchange has been approved, you will be given a Return Authorization (RA) number to include with the items that you are returning. Please note:

    - NO claim will be accepted without prior approval and a RA number.
    - Goods received without a RA number, will be rejected and returned at your expense
    - All goods must be returned in their original packaging.
    - A copy of the original receipt or Order Confirmation must be forwarded with the returned goods.

It is your responsibility to organise and pay for the freight cost for goods returned. The cost of the original freight will not be refunded. The Stationery Shop will not accept goods that are sent as collect or non-paid freight and goods sent in this manner will be returned at your expense.

Blackline Masters

All Blackline masters are subject to copyright laws and are therefore not refundable. Replacement copies will be provided for misbound or faulty products.

Errors and Omissions

The Stationery Shop makes every effort to provide accurate pricing and product information. Because of the dynamic nature of this industry (e.g. supplier price changes and other variables beyond our control), prices, promotions, versions and availability advertised are subject to change without prior notice. Please be assured of our every effort to ensure the accuracy; however the documents, text and graphics published may contain technical inaccuracies or typographical errors. The Stationery Shop makes no representations about the suitability of this information; it is provided as is without warranty of any kind. If an error is made or a product is listed at an incorrect price, The Stationery Shop shall maintain the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed. If the order has been confirmed and charged to your credit card, The Stationery Shop shall immediately issue a refund.

The Stationery Shop's management of and practices with respect to personal information are in compliance with the relevant Privacy Laws and are set out in our Privacy Policy.
